Region
With sunny conditions and a temperate maritime climate, the Crémant de Bordeaux appellation vineyards lie completely within the AOC Bordeaux area. This Crémant was originally established as an AOC in its own right in April 1990.
Variety
The wine is 100% Merlot, a red grape with plum fruit characteristics and the most popular varietal in the world.
Producer
In 2007, Cave Jaillance and 9 other pioneering wine producing cellars, each a leader in its region and striving to find a balance between their economic activities and their impact on society and the environment, decided to design a Sustainable Development strategy. Today, the collective has grown and Vignerons Engagés represents more than 6,000 winemakers and employees throughout France.
Serving
Chill this wine in the fridge. Serve cold in a slightly larger glass than you would typically use to really appreciate the richness of the wine. Not a Champagne flute. A goblet style glass so you can really enjoy the aromatics.
The Nose
A mixture of berry fruit and floral notes on the nose. Strawberry, cherry, and roses.
Tasting Notes
Brilliant, intense elegant bubble. Red fruit notes (strawberry, red currant, cherries) with a pleasant hint of fresh menthol. Beautifully harmonious sparkle that is balanced with good persistence and touches of vanilla notes on the finish.
Food Pairings
Restaurant: The most overlooked dish at Bacaro is the Risotto di gó. The wine’s weight will hold up to the rich risotto made with venetian spices and salmon roe. At the same time the freshness of the wine will cut through the creaminess and prepare you for your next bite.
Home: Grilled chicken with roasted rosemary potatoes.

Why We Like It
We love rose cremant all the time. Especially when it is full bodied and has enough complexity to be enjoyed with food.
