Region

Piedmont, located in the foothills of the Alps, is one of Italy’s most acclaimed wine growing regions. Variety

Favorita is a white Italian wine grape grown primarily in the Piedmont region. It is believed to be a relative of Vermentino and is also a popular table grape. Favorita wines are known for having bright, fruit-forward flavours and when planted on warm climate sites, they can develop intense notes of minerality and sea salt.

Producer

La Cantina Bosio, founded in 1967 by Egidio and Angela, is a world where technology and rural tradition coexist. The company has 500 acres of vineyards divided among different zones, but hundreds of farmer organizations also give their grapes to the factory making the total annual production closer to 1000 acres of surface. Neat huh? The future of this company is in Luca Bosio’s hands, a graduate winemaker, who brought a wave of freshness and novelty with his innovative and progressive ideas.

Tasting Notes

Again a great translation from nose to palette. Easygoing, smooth, fresh green apples, honey, vibrant acidity and high mineral finish.

Food Pairings

Restaurant: From Vennie’s, The Soy Poached Chicken Sandwich, with hits of scallion ginger relish and some spice from the chili mayo, a cool glass of Favorita would absolutely slay.

Home: Ideal as an aperitif or with seafood; try seared scallops or prawns.
